Orwellianism

In the course of the job hunt, I come across a LOT of different federal agencies, position titles, associations, and firms with deceptively innocuous-sounding names. But this one takes the cake:

Policy Analyst, Office of Economic Adjustment - Department Of Defense

What the heck is "economic adjustment" and what is it doing at the Pentagon?

For the record, they help communities that get shafted when DoD changes plans. I guess that's a good thing. Like an employment development office for military towns.

Still, couldn't they come up with something that doesn't sound like the Ministry of Love?
